Pastor Art’s inspirations

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Rom 10:15)

Recently I have spent a number of enjoyable days handing out church fliers and sharing Jesus with UCD students.

I say enjoyable, because I am letting the Holy Spirit guide me. When I first accepted Christ I was too serous about sharing Christ, trying hard to “win” everyone to the Lord. Sometimes I shared too much from the intellect instead of the tender heart of the Spirit.

Fortunately I have have matured, emotionally and spiritually. Because I am more secure and joyful inside, God’s joy, genuine love and sensitivity is flowing out more abundantly and naturally. I am letting the Holy Spirit do the work of preparing people’s hearts and leading the conversations. Because God continues to transform me people share with are encountering more of Christ and less of me!

I want to say thanks to all that have prayed for the students — sometimes for decades. It is easier sharing Christ on the Campus than in the past, I also appreciate all the prayer and and labors of love toward their fellow students given by the members of the Christian campus groups. I really love meeting you “on fire” believers.

Together we are making a difference.

Let’s continue to keep our Gospel of peace feet moving forward.

Welcome to Davis and to Word of Life Christian Center’s (WLCC) new web site!

Today’s thoughts:  Jesus is our daily way, truth and life.  He revealed Himself to Apostle John as the Alpha and Omega, the first and last letters in the Greek alphabet.

The first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet are Aleph and Tav which also points to profound truths about Jesus.

I believe God wants us to make Jesus our source, path and culmination of of every day — the entire alphabet of our lives.

Announcement:  This Sunday at the 6pm church service at WLCC we will have two special guests.  Pastor and Missionary Evangelist Dave Iversion and his music group will be singing and Bill Wallace will share about the 87 day mission trip he took to China this summer.

I hope to see you soon.

Together with you in God’s love,
