Statement of Beliefs
Word of Life Christian Center (WLCC) is built on the firm foundation of what the Bible reveals about who God is, what He has said and done, and what He will accomplish.
We Believe:
- The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
- Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God—the Word made flesh. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and shed His blood on Calvary’s cross for our salvation. He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. He ascended to the right hand of the Father and will return in His resurrected body at the end of the age.
- Salvation comes when you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He rose from the dead.
- We believe in the command of Jesus—to love one another as He loves us.
- We believe in holiness of heart and life, the baptism and gifts of the Holy Spirit, the five-fold ministry, and healing for both the body and the soul.
- Christians should be water baptized, celebrate the Table of the Lord, and tithe.
- We believe in the physical resurrection of the dead—the just to eternal life and the unjust to eternal separation from God.
- God’s love is the basis for unity in the Body of Christ.
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:34–35)
